30 Days of Beauty-Day 13: Flexibility

Flexibility is truly a thing of beauty.  While you may think that I am talking about being able to touch my toes or practicing yoga, I am referring to flexibility in life.  If you read my blog from May 31, you will know that my goal was to write every day in June: 30 Days of Beauty.  If you are a daily follower of my blog, you may have noticed (but have been too polite to mention) that I have not posted a new blog every day.

Even though I am retired, I am finding it difficult some days to find the time to write.  For some reason, the month of June has been very busy.  We have had multiple social engagements and have an entertaining event coming up which requires us to get the house in shape after the big move in.  Also, with 7 people in our house, I find that I am not sitting at my computer as often as I was before.  I used to sit in the family room, watch TV, and have my computer on my lap.  I am finding that I am not watching as much TV now that summer has arrived.  When I do sit down to watch, there is often a little one around who wants to interact with me or play with the computer if I have it open.  So, I am having to find a different schedule and place for writing.

That's why flexibility is so wonderful!  I still intend to have 30 days of writing.  So what if I don't get them done on the actual day?  The few of you who are reading are forgiving and will understand, and I have learned that I have to be flexible.  Life is for enjoying.  I am not going to beat myself up for not keeping to a schedule that I set for myself.  The intent was to write more: I am still accomplishing that!  Luckily, this blog is also flexible and I can schedule when I want this to post so it appears that I wrote it on the correct day.  Isn't technology wonderful?

Have you found your joy today?
